Methodology and assumptions
How the estimate is calculated
The calculator adds up person-days of effort for six work areas, scales them by platform and complexity, then multiplies by a typical consultant day-rate range for the market you choose. The result is a range, because real projects vary with scope clarity, data quality and team availability.
- Discovery, project management and go-live: 15 person-days.
- Module configuration and user acceptance testing: 8 person-days per selected module.
- Training and hyper-care: 0.15 person-days per user.
- Data migration: 8 (basic), 20 (moderate) or 45 (heavy) person-days.
- Integrations: 7 person-days each (standard API or file-based).
- Customisation: 10 (light), 30 (moderate) or 80 (heavy) person-days.
- Platform factor: Odoo Enterprise and ERPNext 0.95, Odoo Community 1.05, SAP Business One 1.25, custom build 2.4. Complexity factor: low 0.8, medium 1, high 1.3.
- Uncertainty band: 0.85x to 1.25x of the point estimate.
Day-rate assumptions by market
Typical blended consultant day-rate ranges used (November 2026), converted at rounded planning exchange rates. These are indicative market ranges for mid-size ERP partners, not prices charged by TCB Infotech, and actual quotes can fall outside them.
India: US$110–280 per consultant day; United Arab Emirates: US$280–560 per consultant day; United States: US$650–1150 per consultant day; United Kingdom: US$480–880 per consultant day; Australia: US$560–980 per consultant day; Singapore: US$420–780 per consultant day; Saudi Arabia: US$280–580 per consultant day; Canada: US$560–980 per consultant day; Germany: US$520–920 per consultant day; South Africa: US$140–340 per consultant day.
Licence costs: what is included and why
Licence fees are shown only where they are publicly documented, with the source and date. Odoo Community and ERPNext are open source and have no licence fee. Odoo Enterprise pricing is shown for India from the vendor pricing page (checked 3 November 2026); for other markets it varies by region and plan, so the calculator says so instead of guessing. SAP Business One licences are quoted by partners and are not published. Hosting, support, taxes and internal staff time are excluded.
What the estimate does not include
Hardware or cloud hosting, third-party software, internal team time, travel, taxes, change requests after scope sign-off and a recommended contingency of 10 to 20 percent. Treat the output as a planning range for budgeting conversations, not a quotation.

Frequently asked questions
- How much does ERP implementation cost?
- It depends mainly on the number of modules, data migration, integrations and customisation. A small project with three modules and light customisation can need roughly 60 to 100 person-days; multi-entity or manufacturing projects often need several hundred. Multiply by the day-rate in your market to get the cost range this calculator shows.
- Is the estimate a quotation from TCB Infotech?
- No. It uses typical market day-rate ranges and a disclosed effort model. A quotation needs a scoping workshop and a fixed scope.
- Why are licence costs missing for some platforms?
- We only show licence prices that are publicly documented. Odoo Community and ERPNext have no licence fee; Odoo Enterprise varies by region; SAP Business One licences are quoted by partners.
- How long does an ERP implementation take?
- Typical mid-size projects take 3 to 6 months. The calculator derives the timeline from total effort, a team of 2 to 8 people working about 4 effective days a week each, plus two weeks for testing and go-live.
- Which factors raise the cost most?
- Heavy customisation, large data migrations with poor data quality, many integrations and high process complexity. Cleaning master data and agreeing scope early are the cheapest ways to reduce cost.
- Does my data leave my browser?
- No. The calculation runs in your browser. The share link stores only your selections in the URL, never personal information.
